Conditions of Booking the Villa

Welcome to La Toscane, a very well equipped Self Catering Villa.

In view of the nature and size of this property, the period of rental commences on a Friday at 4:00 PM and terminates the following Friday at 10:00 AM, unless other arrangements have been made. This allows our Cleaning Agency sufficient time during change-overs, which is particularly busy on Saturdays. The maximum amount of persons allowed is 12, accomodated in 6 Double or Twin bedded rooms.

20% deposit of the total rental fee is required at the time of booking, and by seperate email, IBAN and BIC (Swift code) will be forwarded to you, payable to JPO HOBBS. The balance is due 10 weeks prior to arrival. A receipt will be issued once the deposit has been received together with Final Payment and Arrival Instructions.

Electricity, Water, Towels and Bedlinen are provided. (Bring your own Pool Towels). For bookings of two weeks or more, Maid service is provided once a week for Bedlinen and Towel changes. Additional Maid service is available with prior notice as are the services of a private Cook. We endeavour to leave the house in an immaculate Condition and see guests on arrival.

Guests are responsible, within reason, for leaving the house in the same clean and tidy manner in which they found it on arrival. Please note that the person making the booking is considered the Key Holder and therefore ultimately responsible for the villa while under his or her care.

A telephone is available for local and incoming calls only. Bring your Mobile phone for International calls. WIFI and Ethernet is available in the Salon and Dining Room areas.

The renter agrees to look after the property and its contents while under his care and on departure agrees to leave it in a clean and tidy manner. A Good Housekeeping deposit of £500 or 500 Euros is payable with the final balance and refunded after departure once the villa has been checked by our Agent and confirmed that these conditions have been respected. Whilst we accept that from time to time, accidents do happen, we ask our guests to advise us when this happens so items can be repaired or replaced in time for future guests. As in everything, we believe Common Sense should prevail.

The renter further acknowledges that from time to time, events happen beyond our control requiring the intervention of a Service Engineer, particularly if there has been Thunderstorm Activity. (For example, a fuse circuit has blown or the Telephone system is out.) We will endeavour to rectify any faults as quickly as possible and ask our guests to show patience and tolerance in allowing the work to be carried out.

THE SWIMMING POOL

This is perhaps the most important function of the house and Guests agree to look after the Pool and top up with water whenever necessary. The pool is equipped with either an Alarm system or an Automatic Pool Cover, according to French Child Safety laws. These items must NOT be tampered with by children and regardless of the safety laws in place, Guests agree to supervise their children in a responsible manner and not allow anyone to walk on the Pool Cover. Only in an emergency, may an adult walk on the cover to protect their child.

CANCELLATIONS

As with any type of holiday, guests are advised to protect themselves against any unforseen circumstances, Force Majeure and Cancellation, howsoever caused, by taking out the necessary Travel Insurance. Please note it can be very difficult sometimes to relet space that has been booked, particularly if cancelled at a late stage.

DECLARATION

The renter acknowledges that any reservation made is done so "in good faith" and in accordance with these Conditions of Booking. The renter further agrees that neither he/she or any member of his/her party will hold the owners responsible for any mishap or accident to persons or property while occupying the house during the tenancy agreement.
